OPGA Scholarship Program
The Scholarship Committee of OPGA is now taking applications for the 2022 OPGA Scholarship Program. The purpose of the Ohio Propane Gas Association Scholarship is to foster education, to increase services to all Association members, to enhance the public image of the propane industry, and to provide financial assistance to selected individuals who are seeking education beyond high school.
Over seventy $1,000 scholarships have already been awarded within the last 18 years! This year the committee will award a maximum of two $1,000 scholarships! Together we can help a young man or woman realize the dream of an education that perhaps may never happen without YOU and the OPGA SCHOLARSHIP.
If we can answer any questions, or help in any way, please let us know. In addition, make sure that any person interested in applying for the OPGA Scholarship knows that they may also be eligible to apply for one of the NPGA Scholarships (see below).
Attention propane marketers! Many members and organizations have contributed to make this event possible. Now we are asking you to make sure everyone in your organization is aware of this award and to encourage everyone eligible to apply. Consider posting this promotional flyer in a highly visible location in your office, emailing it to your members or placing a copy in each employee’s mailbox.

NPGA Scholarship Fund
The National Propane Gas Foundation (NPGF) Scholarship Fund was established in 1993 by a committed group of energized volunteers. Its purpose is to foster educational opportunities for the children of National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) or state association member companies along with PERC employee children by offering scholarships to colleges or vocational/technical/trade schools. The fund provides nonrenewable scholarships in the amounts of $1,000 and $2,000. Scholarships are funded from the Scholarship Fund endowment earmarked for that purpose and managed by NPGF.
The National Propane Gas Foundation Scholarship Fund (NPGF/SF) kicked off the 2022 scholarship program on December 15. Children of employees of NPGA member companies, state propane associations, or PERC are eligible to apply. Applicants may be pursuing any course of study at two- and four-year colleges or technical, trade, or vocational schools. Students pursuing propane-related careers are especially encouraged to apply. The deadline for applications is February 15, 2022.
Every year, the NPGF/SF awards $1,000 and $2,000 scholarships to 100+ students. Since 1994, the NPGF Scholarship Fund has awarded more than two million dollars to 1400+ children of NPGA member company employees!
